New Appointment in China

Shanghai, 14 January 2020 - Mazars is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Margot Han as international (CARL) Partner; and of Ms. Cindy Cheung, Ms. Chloe Zhang, Ms. Joanna Ye and Ms. Seven Shen as Partners.

Margot Han

Margot Han joined Mazars in Shanghai in 2006 and has 14 years’ Accounting and Outsourcing service experience. With multi-cultural background and a solid technical knowledge of the Chinese accounting, tax and business environment as well as the international accounting standards and the French accounting regulations, she delivers adequate solutions and personalized accounting advisory services to our clients in various industries.

Margot shows her leadership in managing the AOS department and leading the transformation of our team to provide more value added services to our clients. Margot has strong communication skills and networking abilities. She speaks fluent French, English and Chinese.

Cindy Cheung

Cindy Cheung has been with Mazars for almost 7 years. She joined Mazars in Shanghai since May 2013 as a senior manager, and was promoted to Director in 2017. Prior to joining Mazars, Cindy trained with PwC in both the United Kingdom and Hong Kong. She is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ACA). She speaks fluent English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Cindy has been working exclusively on deal related work, including core financial due diligence, deal support and structuring advice for both corporate and private equity investors. She has extensive experience with cross border transactions.

Chloe Zhang

Chloe Zhang joined Mazars in Shanghai in 2012. She started her career in auditing in France. After 6 years as an audit manager, she transferred to Accounting and Outsourcing services. With a Master’s degree in Audit, Accounting and Controlling from Paris Nanterre, she has acquired diverse professional qualifications such as French CPA, CMA and ACCA GBS. In addition to Chinese, her mother tongue, she is fluent in English and French.

With more than 13 years’ professional experience in auditing and advisory, she has an in-depth knowledge of both PRC accounting regulations and international accounting standards. Since 2018, she has been focusing on developing a new business line dedicated to advisory activities.

Joanna Ye

Joanna Ye joined Mazars in Guangzhou in 2007 after 4 years’ experience with KPMG Shenzhen office where she started her audit career. Joanna has extensive experience in cross border transactions. Her areas of specialism include manufacturing, media, advertising and other service industries, ranging from SMEs to MNCs. She has strong capability to manage large projects and teams with an international reach and across departments.

Joanna acts as the business unit head for audit and financial advisory in Guangzhou office. In addition to delivering audit assignments and managing the audit team, she is also dedicated to leading and developing Channel II services, including transaction services assignments as well as new accounting standards implementation projects in Guangzhou office.

Joanna is an ACCA member, and is expected to become fellow member with ACCA in May 2020. As a native Chinese and Cantonese speaker, she is also fluent in English.

Seven Shen

Seven Shen joined Mazars in Shanghai in 2007. She started her career in Mazars as an associate in the Accounting and Outsourcing Solutions (AOS) department. She has successfully served a wide range of clients to provide accounting, tax and outsourcing services to investors, including owner-managed businesses as well as multinational corporations. She has developed a solid and professional knowledge of the Chinese accounting, tax and business environment.

Seven has accumulated ample experience in ERP implementation, internal procedure standardization and reports automation. She has also contributed to the office’s internal recruitment and training development. In 2019, Seven supervised the payroll department in providing payroll and immigration services for more than 80 companies. She concurrently provided clients a flexible approach to help companies to set up in China as well as to solve day-to-day complex issues related to business operations in China.
